NEW MILESTONE ACHIEVED

 

The great department of Urban and Regional Planning of the school of Environmental Design and Technology in Federal Polytechnic Oko led by Comrade Okezue Daniel Chibuzor p,  the departmental president year 2017/2018 academic session added more honor and glory to their name by winning the School tournament organized by the School president Comrade Oyibo Prosper.

  They clinched the the trophy by beating the unbeatable departartment of Estate Management in the penalty shoot out by 5-4 goals after goaless 90+3 minutes of match play at the Federal Polytechnic Oko Football Field. The winners went home with the sum of 15000 fifteen thousands naira and medal 🎖 for the players.

The URP Fc as they are called was coached by Comrade Udealor Samson,  the director of social of the department for the year 2017/2018 academic session. Before the URP FC reached to final,  they met Bulding Technology Fc in the first leg and won then 2-0 in the favour of URP FC,  they met EST FC in their quarter final and were defeated by 4-0. Qualifying to semi final where they met Quantity Surveyors FC  and played 1-1 which resulted to penalty shout out of 4-2 in the favour of URP FC.

   The meeting with EST FC in the Final round of the tournament is a big come back for the URP FC as their opponent belittle them with the mindset of the quarter final result.  URP FC team gave them run for the trophy with the first half possession of 55-45 with 3 missed opportunities from the URP FC. Second half became more intense with 60-40 ball possession in favour of URP FC With various goals attempt from both sides.  The effort of the goal keeper of URP FC by making sure no goal was conceded as EST F expect to score more goals.

More kudos to the winners of NAESS TOURNAMENT YEAR 2017/2018  Academic Session URP FC.
